We provide the foundation for transforming smallholder farming into a family business by providing tailored solutions in terms of: 🗹 soil analysis and land suitability assessment for the chosen crop(s); 🗹 development of a viable business plan and projections of possible returns; 🗹 developing recommendations for optimal utilization of land; 🗹 connecting the farmers to a network of technical, inputs and financial service providers. |
Our company was established primarily as a software developer and computer consultancy enterprise. However, all our management staff are experienced farmers. We are shifting into agricultural value systems to utilise our combined experience of 24 years in farming. The company owns medium scale farms for oranges and cassava. We plan to use these as nuclei for establishment of outgrower schemes for the two crops. We intend to utilise our expertise to assist new entrants into farming of sisal, orange and cassava at the farm establishment stage. The company is currently seeking financing partners. |
Sisal in Tanzania used to be an estate crop, grown by big investors. In recent years, however, sisal has been adopted at the household scale. For this reason, farmers and micro-processors are scattered around the country. We aggregate sisal fibre from around the country, mainly for export. In this regard, we have three years of experience and an established reputation for reliability. In addition to sisal, we supplement our own production by aggregating from outgrower farmers and supply the following products: 🗹 fresh oranges from Tanga Region; 🗹 fresh cassava. |
